As an intermediate guitarist, I wanted a guitar to keep at my vacation home so that I didn't have to lug my other guitars back and forth from home. I did not want to spend a lot of money -- but I did not want a piece of junk, either. Happily, my Eagletone DG1 surpassed my expectations. The ebony finish was flawless and looks great. Mine came with its strings set very low, making it playable right out of the box. The included d'Addario strings were a plus. In appearance and value, this guitar compares favorably to guitars costing up to twice as much that I have evaluated at Guitar Center, Target, Best Buy, and Walmart. Before the purchase, I called Music Factory Direct to get some questions answered. I was impressed at the friendly and knowledgeable help and advice I received. The fact the guitar comes with a 30-day return policy was helpful in alleviating my concerns about getting stuck with a substandard product... The Eagletone DG1 sounds a little "brighter" than my Seagull S6 ($400). It's not better or worse, just different. I purchased this guitar thinking that I wouldn't mind if it gets beat-up on the beach, at a campfire, or otherwise enjoying it. But I am so impressed at its quality that now I think I will "baby" this guitar just as much as I do my other, more expensive, guitars. Based on my experience with the DG1, I would purchase other Eagletone guitars from this seller without hesitation.
