Yamaha 12" x 6" Musashi Oak Snare Drum

Featuring a 7 ply shell made of oak, the Musashi snare drum has the right balance of "crack" and warmth to fit into most musical situations. The included groove wedge gives you the added ability to play a cross-stick for ballads not possible on other 12 & 13-inch drums. You can tune it high and tight or tune it down to get a fatter tone with a lot of body. Oak has a great balance of high-end and warmth, making this drum versatile enough to fit into almost any musical situation. The 12-inch Musashi comes complete with a Groove Wedge so that you can play a cross stick rim shot for ballads. The 16 strand split snares give you great snare response without choking the snare side head. The deep 2.7mm snare beds allow the snares to lay flat all the way across the snare head, giving you snare response at all dynamic levels.
