This is truly a beautiful horn! The gold is a deep gold color only slightly darker than the old selmers and therefore reminiscent of a vintage colored horn. The hand engraving is stunning and and looks to be of better pops even more so than my selmers! But the true joy of this horn is of course, playing it! As a recording artist and owner of many LA Saxes and other horns I can tell you this is a fantastic horn with great tone across the board! It's free blowing with great projection! I love it and highly recommend any of the big lip altos and tenors (and sopranos) regardless of finish, but this gold is truly an eye catcher, very shiny and if you're one who performs on stages with a lot of lighting this will definitely reflect those colors to your audience!
