The new MXR Black Label Chorus is Zakk's secret weapon to thicken up his wall of distortion and add liquid dimension and texture to clean passages. At the heart of the Black Label Chorus is it's bucket brigade circuitry - the only way to get truly rich and warm analog chorusing. Its vintage style tones are dialed in by High and Low cut filters and Level, Rate and Depth controls. For the ultimate in spatial chorusing, hook up two amps via the two outputs for a wide and sweeping stereo spread. Like all MXR pedals, the Black Label Chorus comes in a heavy-duty housing with durable jacks and switches for a lifetime on the road.

Features:

  • Analog chorus
  • Two outputs for a wide and sweeping stereo spread
  • True bypass with LED
  • Level knob, Rate knob, Depth knob
  • Footswitch for on/bypass

Great Chorus Pedal Nov 14, 2009 I just bought this pedal and took it home and compared it to my MXR M-134 Chorus. I used an American made Strat and a Schecter V-1 Hellraiser. I tried it through a Roland Cube 60 using a MXR MetalBore pedal for distortion and a Marshall JVM 410 half stack on both the clean and OD1 Channels. This is a really good pedal. On the clean settings it is very similar to the MXR M-134 but on the distorted settings the Black Label Chorus really shines. It had a much more dynamic feel to it and the individual notes of each chord sounded much better. Bottom line is that if you already own an MXR M-134 and use clean settings than it may not be worth picking up but if you don't own the M-134 or play with distortion I would recommend that you consider this pedal.
